Balla Kanté - afro reggae
His current Afro Reggae Band features musicians from Africa, America, Europe and the Caribbean. Their different cultural and musical roots give their concerts an extraordinary flair. Their infectious rhythms and Balla's passionate stage presence are irresistible.
Balla Kantés music is strong and honest. His songs deal with topics such as love and death, but he also tackles social and political problems. That's one of the reasons for his reputation as one of the leading figures among Guinea's younger generation in the struggle for changes in their homeland.
